I Queers sono una droga. Anzi sono LA droga, stop.
Solo amore per l’ultimo vero punk-rocker.
I pezzi in ordine più o meno sparso sono stati: You’re Trippin, This place sucks (due volte), Punk Rock Girls, I Hate Everything, Don’t Back Down, S.L.U.G., Born To Do Dishes, Love Love Love, Kicked Out Of The Webelos, Wimpy Drives Through Harlem ( con Chris Polecat alla voce ), White Minority, Fuck This World, Debra Jean, I Want Cunt, Hi Mom it’s Me, Cindy’s On Methadone (momento di delirio collettivo), Granola Head, Noodle Brain, Definitely ( a memoria mi sembra sia la prima volta che l’ho sentita suonare), Girl About Town, See You Later Fuckface, Like A Parasite.
Potevano mancare i Ramones?
Lunga vita a Joe Queer!
The Queers feat. Chris Polecat
I want to finish so without another word, by the way I will drop two lines. You can listen them (and you have to sing softly ) at home, at the beach, at work, in the car, on the subway, in the shower …. and never be tired. You can actually loop the same song 200 times and you will minimally think to be a retard, well you feel to be retarded and you’re also happy to be as such.
Anyone who has had the opportunity to see the Queers at least once can understand what I’m trying to say. I have seen them a dozen times and it is always a good party. A big party, even if there wasnt so many people as expected.
However, let’s step back and talk before about The Accelerators. I do not want to say this but I do not like them. They do not sound bad at all, but I did not say anything … They have left me totally indifferent, as opposed to many rather than followed them in a question.
Just as well.
Change of the stage and it is the turn of The Queers.
Actually, it is more Joe Queer & Friends, since for last-minute problems Lurch and Dangerous Dave had to chicken out; the old Joe found thus forced to improvise a backing band with at the bass our Mass Manges and a young man at the drums (not sure if he plays in some other bands) that will do a good job. All in all, the performance was not quite perfect as there was some mistakes, but given the extreme situation I would say that is more than understandable. Even if they farted a cappella for 50 minutes I would have enjoyed it anyway.
The setlist in the same of the last 10 years but that’s okay.
Only love for the last true punk-rocker.
The songs in order more or less casual were: You’re Trippin, This place sucks (two times), Punk Rock Girls, I Hate Everything, Do not Back Down, SLUG, Born To Do Dishes, Love Love Love, Kicked Out Of The Webelos, Wimpy Drives Through Harlem (with Chris Polecat on vocals), White Minority, Fuck This World, Debra Jean, I Want Cunt, Hi Mom it’s Me, Cindy’s On Methadone (moment of collective exciting) Granola Head, Noodle Brain, Definitely (from my memory it seems to me this is the first time I heard it played live), Girl About Town, See You Later Fuckface, Like A Parasite. Could miss the Ramones? I would say no, then takes the stage Andrea Manges and explode with Cretin Hop and Sheena’s a Punk Rocker, I Wanna Be Sedated finally again with Chris Polecat on bass/vocals this time. Final closure with Tulu Is A Wimp and Monster Zero, then happily back home.
A round of applause particular to the heroic Mass Manges, which in just 3 days had to learn 40 songs: was visibly live but has honored very well for the evening. On the other hand how could he say no?Long live Joe Queer!
